Working closely with an initiative and growing company who are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join their fun and hard-working team. The Senior Finance Assistant position provides a varied and interesting role, where every day is different. The company manufactures a wide range of products, from benches, picnic tables to cycle shelters.
Your new role
As a Senior Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Drive coordination with all departments to ensure the month-end process and deadlines are met
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure that all sales invoicing is aligned with completed projects
- Manage deferred income/credits and monthly reconciliation
- Reconciliation of all Bank Accounts
- Manage project sales data into Sage 50
- Process credit card receipts through an online portal
- Prepare the monthly supplier pay run, ensuring the cashflow operating system is managed
- Create payroll & PAYE consolidation journals
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working in a finance environment
- Recognised Accounting qualification - AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Sage 50 & Microsoft office
- Previous experience in a senior finance role
- Able to prioritise deadlines
- Able to work effectively independently and under pressure
- Organised, strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and communication skills
