Distribution Team Leader

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a global manufacturer to recruit a Distribution Team Leader to join their manufacturing and distribution facility in Rotherham.

The Distribution Team Leader will be responsible for managing people, processes and systems whilst meeting daily productivity targets.

Our client is looking for a motivated, dynamic and inspirational Distribution Team Leader with strong people management skills who can develop and grow the team.

Duties of the Distribution Team Leader include:

  • Oversee the preparation and completion of orders for delivery or pickup according to the schedule
  • Perform inventory controls with a focus on quality standards
  • Supervise a team of Warehouse Operatives, identifying training and resource needs
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt (goods in), order, assembly and dispatch of orders
  • Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
  • Plan for future capacity requirements
  • Ensure all daily Forklift checks are carried out efficiently and safely
  • Liaise with customers and couriers/transport companies as required

We are keen to speak with Distribution Team Leaders with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous leadership experience within a distribution/warehouse environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • FLT Reach Truck and Counterbalance FLT Licence preferred but training can be given
  • Previous experience using SAP would be beneficial
  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems
