Senior Estates Surveyor
Start: ASAP
Rate: Negotiable dependant on experience (inside IR35)
Duration: 6 Month initially
Hybrid Working Arrangement – 2/3 days onsite
Full Clean Driving Licence Required
They are looking for a highly skilled and specialised commercial surveyor to take on a waterfront development plan, as well as completing large-scale disposals and associated project management work to coordinate with agents and lawyers. Other work includes involvement in town centre regeneration and high-level influence with major stakeholders both within the council and outside
Requirements:
- MRICS with minimum 10 years PQE with extensive demonstrable experience
- A strong understanding of Landlord and Tenant law is essential given the scale of the projects and the necessity to protect the council's interests
- Local Authority experience is also an essential requirement especially an understanding of the committee cycle and executive papers
- Strong negotiation skills
- Comprehensive and current market awareness
- Experience of negotiating and closing commercial contracts
- Knowledge of statutory notices, property and LL&T law
- Comfortable advising and engaging with senior management members, stake holders and industry leaders
- Knowledge of grant funding and how it works
- Comfortable liaising with the council's communication and marketing team
- Comfortable liaising with departments across the council and other organisations including representatives of neighbouring boroughs
- Strong team player, able to lead and direct support staff and other disciplines
- Experience of LA procurement
