Hours Required: Monday to Friday - 9am to 7pm.

Driver: Prefer driver, but not essential

Summary:

This is a great role, working with a casual family of 5 in Mill Hill.

They live in a 6-bedroom, 6 bathroom detached home that is very old and has its own quirks!

We are looking for a fabulous Housekeeper who can care for the busy family and the Garade 2 listed home.

Mum and Dad both work form home and all the children are at school all day. A Nanny is employed.

Duties will include:

  • All tasks involved in the cleaning and impeccable upkeep of the house.
  • Ensuring the home is kept immaculate - organised, clean and tidy.
  • Dusting, mopping of floors, cleaning surfaces, vacuuming.
  • Keeping the children's bedrooms and playroom clean and tidy. This includes putting away of children's toys, unpacking bags, readying school uniform, etc.
  • Keeping on top of the laundry, including handwashing, ironing and wardrobe management, including taking and collecting delicate items to and from the dry-cleaner, and cleaning shoes when necessary.
  • Making beds, including changing linen at least once a week.
  • Deep cleaning inside cupboards etc when needed.
  • Cooking nutritious meals and snacks, including family dinner most evenings.
  • Running errands and organising the home.
  • Driving when required (household shopping, errands and school runs etc.)
  • Dealing with the tradesmen that may come to the house and oversee their work.
  • Answering the door and accepting deliveries.
  • If looking after children (only occasionally and for short duration), caring for the health, safety and wellbeing of three children, aged 13, 10 and 5.
  • Cooperating with the Employer to achieve a healthy and safe environment for yourself and others

This role will suit you if you are, experienced and hardworking. You will be efficient, upbeat and reliable. We are looking for someone with an upbeat demeanour who is family friendly, proactive and logical.

This is a large house, with a lot of steps, so you will need to be physically fit.
