Our client, a leading UK and European law firm are seeking an Accounts Administrator to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative finance team within a firm that values teamwork and individual initiative. The ideal candidate will have a good attention to detail, strong communication skills and be looking to start their career in accounting.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Support sales ledger services, including maintaining cash collections spreadsheets, processing cash receipts, and allocating cash to sales invoices.
  • Assist with the management of deposit accounts, including handling notifications, matching processes, and processing official fees charges.
  • Contribute to purchase ledger services by coding and processing invoices, participating in payment runs, and supporting authorisation of manual cheques and electronic payments.
  • Engage in accounts control procedures, such as bank reconciliation work and petty cash counts.
  • Provide cover for other Finance team members as needed and assist with other accounts or administrative duties as directed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Working towards an AAT qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Experience with Access Financial system is desirable.
  • Strong reconciliation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in liaising with various members of the firm.
  • A mature approach to managing workload in a hybrid working environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to help others within the department.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning, sharing knowledge, and teamwork.
