**Quality Engineer
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join a well-established and thriving pseudo manufacturer and distributor of electrical products. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring product quality, investigating issues, and driving continuous improvement within the company.
Day to day of the role:
- Monitor product quality and report findings to the Management Team.
- Investigate product quality issues to establish root causes and liaise with the factory to implement improvements.
- Resolve quality issues through robust root cause analysis and implement permanent and preventative corrective actions.
- Support the development of FMEA's, quality control, and test plans as part of the product Life Cycle Management process for new and existing products.
- Review customer complaints and address them as necessary.
- Manage Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and Goods Inwards (GI) inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Oversee product rework, write rework instructions, and ensure adherence to these guidelines.
- Manage factory desktop or 3rd party audits, including ethical audits, instructing the Far East team.
- The role may evolve into Quality Assurance and ISO Management Systems responsibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Proficiency in 8D reporting and other quality management tools.
- Strong report writing skills that accurately convey conclusions.
- Knowledge of electrical installation products and their applications is an advantage.
- Methodical and organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative.
