Business Manager

Our client is a leader within its field working within the Property Sector. They are looking to recruit a Business Manager for their new Flagship Centre in Harrogate. As a newly created role, our client is looking for an outstanding candidate, who will be highly motivated by the prospect of working innovatively and proactively within a client focused, leadership role.

This role will involve a variety of tasks including positive leadership of a small team, ensuring the centre runs effectively on a daily basis and ensuring that clients are receiving a 1st class level of support on a day to day basis. You will create events and ensure you are building an effective community within the centre, thinking proactively across all areas. We are open on the specific experience for this role, you may work within Retail or Hospitality, or maybe in a PA or Office Management role, looking for the opportunity to change the direction you are working within. We do need professionalism in approach, brilliant communication skills and an innovative individual, keen to develop and truly make a difference within this role.

Daily areas of responsibility:

  • Daily operational management of the centre, ensuring all elements are running smoothly and proactive management of any possible challenges
  • Leadership - you will lead a small client support team, ensuring they are clear on their daily direction, conduct 1-2-1's, continually assess their personal development and leading behaviours across all areas
  • You will foster a positive and collaborative Community within the centre, creating events throughout the year, engaging and promoting strong interaction with all clients, focusing on exceeding expectations
  • You will be involved with budget management, ensuring you are working within budgets across a variety of areas and outlining any anomalies and will provide strong reporting to management
  • You will think proactively and innovatively across your role, presenting new ideas to management
  • You will provide a superb and effective level of client support, ensuring any challenges or problems are managed with a successful conclusion
  • Administration management - effectively managing systems to ensure the centre is running smoothly

The skills required for this role:

  • Experience gained within a similar role, possibly within Retail or Hospitality Management or within a PA or Office Management capacity, looking for a change
  • Some leadership experience is key, ensuring you will ensure effective and positive leadership of the team
  • Budget management and reporting experience
  • You will be innovative, proactive and really focused on continual learning and developing within your role
  • 1st class communication skills - daily communication will be a key element of your work both internally with Management and with your team and additionally with all clients and other stakeholders. You will enjoy building and developing key relationships at all levels
  • Excellent Administration and IT skills - a given for this role with strong Microsoft knowledge
