Maintenance Technician

Role - Maintenance Technician Location- Stratford - upon - Avon
Salary- Basic salary £42k + Annual discretionary bonus of £3k-£5k + Call out incentives equivalent to approx. £6k per year
Your role as a Maintenance Technician:
You will be working for a food manufacturing organisation based in Stratford Upon Avon. You will be responsible for ensuring maintenance and reliability targets are achieved in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with company and regulatory standards (Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) and industry accreditations (BRC and FEMAS).
Candidates with experience in manufacturing from industries such as food, aerospace and automotive will be very well received.
This role will require being on call 1 in every 5 days. You will receive a set rate for being on call and this can include weekends. You will then receive an overtime allowance for any call out that you are required to attend.
Your duties and responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician:

  • Ensuring all routine PPM tasks are completed on time, safely and to the site food safety standards.
  • Assisting production with equipment breakdown both during normal day shift and whilst on-call
  • Working with the maintenance manager to further develop, optimise and improve site maintenance regime
  • Assisting, where required, with the installation of new process equipment and modifications.
  • To respond efficiently and pro-actively to plant breakdowns.
  • To ensure that company procedures and methods are adhered to.
  • To ensure that quality, food and feed safety standards are maintained in accordance with relevant company procedures and documentation is accurately completed, and non-conformity's reported.
  • To ensure workshops and spares warehouse areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • To work with the rest of the site team highlighting opportunities for operational and business improvements.

To be successful in your role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Predictive, Preventive and Corrective maintenance
  • Minimum 5 years operational experience working in maintenance in a processing and/or Manufacturing environment
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering education from City and Guilds, Higher National Certificate level and above.

DESIRABLE:

  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems such as SAP or MAXIMO.
