Job Description:
As an SEMH Support Assistant, you will be vital in providing one-on-one support to our highly vulnerable pupils, including those with PTSD, Anxiety, EBD, and SEMH. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Offering personalized support to students both within and outside the classroom.
- Developing and implementing tailored support plans for each student.
- Assisting with behavior management and de-escalation strategies.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring and recording student progress and behavior.
- Providing emotional support and guidance as students face academic and personal challenges.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and qualities:
- Experience working with students who have SEMH, PTSD, Anxiety, or EBD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate disposition.
