Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative CAD Technician on a 12 month fixed term contract to join an engineering team responsible for delivering Engineering projects on time and on budget. This full-time design engineering role is based in Stockport and offers a salary of £40k and excellent benefits.
As a CAD Technician, you will produce and maintain technical drawings and Engineering department documentation. You will use CAD (Computer Aided Design) and PDM (Product Data Management) software to produce 3D models and assemblies, 2D technical drawings, and also where necessary 3D animations and simulations for Virtual Reality Software.
In your first few weeks in this CAD Technician role, you can expect to:
- Produce detailed, technical drawings for design solutions with the Engineering Design team
- Check, edit and maintain drawings and other technical documentation
- Prepare technical documents such as specifications, reports, manuals, procedures etc
- Support hardware development and testing
- Compile technical documents and test specifications and interpret technical specifications.
To apply for this CAD Technician, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
- Experience in detailed design drawings and documentation
- Experience in CAD and PDM software
- Knowledge and experience of PDM administration
- Experience of BoM management and configuration.
