Senior Belt Technician

Hayley Group Limited are looking for a Senior Belt Technician to join our well-established and experienced team based at our BML Belting branch in Prees, Whitchurch. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

About the role:

As our Senior Belt Technician, you will use your knowledge and experience to manufacture belting in our workshop, as well as attend site to fit onto conveyor systems, within many areas of different industries such as logistical, agricultural, cheese and dairy and pharmaceutical. You will be part of an on-call rota, with bonuses and generous overtime pay.

Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, including on-call responsibilities which will be shared as part of a team as we offer a 24/7 breakdown service.

Key responsibilities as our Senior Belt Technician will include:

  • Commitment to customer satisfaction ensuring the quality of the service you provide.
  • Maintaining a tidy workspace and presentable appearance, especially when dealing with customers.
  • Stock management.
  • Packaging and organisation of orders to ensure they go out in timely manner.
  • Complete fabrication and manufacture using different application techniques such as edge sealing, adding guides, flights and side walls.
  • Product knowledge and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, if and when required.

Skills & attributes we're looking for in our Senior Belt Technician:

  • Valid clean UK manual driving licence is essential.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • Customer-focused, driven to provide consistently high levels of service.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Good level of communication and numerical skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism when attending sites across the UK.
  • Ability to use initiative and product knowledge to solve potential problems to provide suitable solutions whilst on site.
  • Ability to follow instructions given my members of the team.
