Management Accountant Location: Newcastle (Hybrid) Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 per annum
Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working for an established business based in Newcastle as they look to recruit an experienced Management Accountant for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave. This is a varied role sat in a busy team environment and would suit a confident finance professional looking to step in to a more commercial role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide finance business partnering support to cost departments for two entities
- Transform financial data into actionable insights for decision-making.
- Analyse trends and variances with senior leadership
- Prepare monthly analysis on operating expenses, capital spending and headcount.
- Lead and attend functional reviews, providing performance insights
- Manage recharges to group entities and ensure consistent reporting
- Conduct monthly variance analysis and lead budget processes
- Maintain financial records, prepare VAT returns, and manage bank payments.
- Support the Finance Manager with trading recharges.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Working with the team to prepare monthly management packs
Experience and Skills Required:
- Ideally Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ CIMA) would consider part qualified with minimum 4 years experience in a similar role
- Financial and commercial acumen
- Ability to analyse complex data sets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling, SAP ERP, and MS Excel
- Preferred experience in cost management or business partnering roles
