This fantastic Primary School based in Walsall is looking for a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join them. Your new role
This role is supporting a Year 3 child who is non-verbal. You will be working from 8:30am - 3:30pm from Monday to Friday. You will be working with the class teacher to adapt and differentiate classroom materials to suit the child's needs and learning style. You will need to build a strong rapport with the child and create a supportive and nurturing environment.Strong communication skills and the use of initiative are all essential in this role, to support the child's academic progress.
What you'll need to succeed
- You must have 2 years experience in a classroom setting.
- You must have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- You will be required to have experience supporting children with SEN.
- You must have patience, compassion and a positive attitude. It is essential.
- You must have experience using Makaton.
What you'll get in return
