Credit Controller

We excited to partner again with one of the UK's fastest growing residential property sales and letting companies, sourcing a Credit Controller to join the team in a newly created permanent role.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some early-stage administration, customer service or sales experience looking to pursue a Credit Control or Customer Services career or could even suit someone looking for their first opportunity.

In this position you will support the lettings team by carrying out administrative tasks associated with debt recovery services of tenanted properties. The ideal candidate will be passionate about service delivery and the role will involve extensive customer interactions working to continually evolve and improve our service in line with our customers' expectations.

This is a hybrid role working 3 days a week in the Worcester office, and 2 days remote.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure the financial (and certain other) data maintained in the Property management system is both accurate and up to date
  • Minimise unpaid rent by rigorous application of the arrears procedure.
  • To deliver high quality client accounting services to clients
  • To produce client arrears reports as required
  • Monthly reporting to Lettings Senior Credit Controller and Lettings Services Manager
  • Reconciliation of tenancy accounts - liaising with Government Agencies as necessary
  • Prepare legal cases and liaise with Solicitors regarding possession
  • Report to Clients and Property Managers
  • Review unposted receipts, investigate and resolve any unidentified items
  • Process credit/debit card payments through our online system
  • Day to day management of tenant accounts
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks that may be requested by the Lettings Services Manager and Head of Lettings Services.

CANDIDATE PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 preferred but equivalent work experience would be considered
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable

HOURS, SALARY & LOCATION

  • The working hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • £21-23k per annum depending on experience
  • Hyrbid role, based 3 days a week in Worcester office, 2 days remote
