HR Adviser (Hybrid)

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our client with their Head Office based in Bury, and an offsite team of around 180 staff.

The role is a HYBRID position with working hours of:

  • 3 days a week, based in the office
  • 2 days a week WFH - Work from Home
  • Early finish on Fridays at 1.30pm

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Car owner: Must be available to travel to other sites approximately every 3-4 weeks.

Role Overview:

Reporting into the Head of HR, you'll be joining a motivated Human Resources team and work closely with the varied Head Office teams that include: Finance, Marketing, Purchasing, Sales and the Warehouse. You will also support with the HR function of an offsite project team of 180 staff and will include some great HR Project work.

We are looking for a competent HR professional with strong ER knowledge and HR generalist experience. Ideally with CIPD Level 5 qualification, a minimum of 4-5 years + experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Head of HR, you will be designated specific business areas, to ensure that they deliver high quality development experiences for all the staff
  • Support the new starters on-boarding process post and pre join
  • Provide organisation and follow up support in: appraisal documents, providing updates to the internal HR system
  • Provide Company procedure guidance and support to Staff, Team Leaders, Supervisors, and the Senior Management team where necessary
  • Respond to HR queries accurately and in a timely manner
  • Managing/supporting with all ER casework
  • Completing any ER paperwork and administration where necessary
  • Monitoring performance and absence cases with line managers
  • Monitoring probation and sickness notifications
  • Organise and conduct exit interviews
  • Working with qualification providers and in some cases academic institutions
  • Downloading reports for any ad-hoc requests

Qualifications & Abilities :

  • MS Office in particular Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Previous experience in HR is essential - 4-5 years
  • Knowledge of Employment Law
  • Ideally CIPD L5 qualified or can demonstrate HR experience with confidence
