Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Relevant GCSE, 'A' level or graduate qualifications or equivalent
  • Have effective communication
  • An understanding of the behaviour patterns that might indicate problems such as substance abuse, bullying or child abuse
  • Demonstrated resilience, compassion, and commitment to supporting SEN learners in an educational setting
  • Ability to work with learners facing diverse learning challenges
  • Confidence to support lead educators across different subjects
  • Flexibility in educational approaches

Responsibilities

  • Supporting learners with severe and complex needs
  • Facilitate group and individual activities as directed by teachers
  • Engaging with parents and caregivers to communicate student's progress
  • Monitor and assess student progress under teacher guidance
  • Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Provide teaching assistance in line with teacher-planned activities
  • Monitor and assess student progress under teacher guidance
