TimePlan Education is seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors for an alternative provision in Waltham Forest. We are looking for candidates with experience in coaching, mentoring, and classroom assistance. Ideal candidates should be comfortable managing dysregulated behaviour, Autism, and mental health difficulties, using a calm and engaging approach. Many students also have additional SEND, such as ASD, ADHD, and SpLD.
Experience working with children or adults in an education setting is preferred, but a willingness to learn new coaching skills to improve behaviour and development is essential. All positions will initially be via the agency on a timesheet basis.
We welcome applicants with backgrounds in care, social work, mental health, or mentoring.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support children with SEMH and SEND.
- Stay calm and de-escalate distressed behaviour.
- Have a valid Enhanced DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new check.
