Satellite Communications Engineer

As a Satellite Communications Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of satellite communication systems. Your expertise in satellite communication technologies, including knowledge of software-defined radios, will contribute to the successful delivery of cutting-edge solutions for our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of satellite communication systems into various applications. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and make a significant impact in the field of satellite communications.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Edinburgh, UK location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development and deployment of satellite communication systems, enabling reliable and efficient communication in various industries such as aerospace, defense, and telecommunications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop satellite communication systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate satellite communication systems into various applications
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of satellite communication systems
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in satellite communication technologies

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in satellite communications engineering
  • Strong knowledge of satellite communication systems and technologies
  • Proficiency in satellite communication design and analysis tools
  • Knowledge of antenna design and RF propagation
