Your new role
An Interim Head of Finance role, reporting to the Financial Director and leading a team of staff.
You will contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy. Set long term goals for the Finance team, embedding effective controls and robust processes to support ongoing growth and financial performance across the business. Build, develop and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with various departments. Focus on YoY performance and understand key underlying business drivers. You will be responsible for high quality & accurate financial reporting, delivering flash, ledger closes and the management accounts pack to group deadlines. Support with monthly board reporting and preparation for the submission to the group finance team. You will deliver & review monthly management accounts, from trial balance to financial statements. Ensure adherence to IFRS accounting standards & statutory reporting requirements. Lead the Balance Sheet reconciliation process. Drive country, site by site, reporting and embed a bottom-up culture to reporting within the finance team. Lead year-end statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors and providing all necessary documentation and evidence. You will also lead and be a key point of contact on all internal finance transformation projects in relation to RTR (record to report) changes and lead on acquisition and integration projects.
What you'll need to succeed
The Head of Finance will act as an influential and knowledgeable finance executive, who leads from the front, makes important business decisions, successfully solves problems, improves processes, and consistently delivers results in line with deadlines. We are looking for a resilient and forward-thinking individual who pro-actively implements change in order to achieve business goals. This role will involve being responsible for high quality financial reporting, management accounts and ensuring all compliance & controls are being followed whilst actively looking to mitigate risk and issues. You will be a fully qualified accountant, with extensive experience at Head of Finance / Senior FC level. You will be used to working with large and complex businesses. You will enjoy leading, motivation and developing a team. Reliant and comfortable in a fast-moving environment, you will enjoy multitasking & prioritising numerous tasks. You will have good Project Management skills and strong Business Partnering & Influencing experience. You will also be technically strong, with an understanding of IFRS16 accounting treatments. This is a broad role, so experience of business partnering, financial reporting and commercial analysis is desirable. Highly IT literate, you will be used to working with large ERP systems and Excel day to day.

Initially, a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, with the possibility of extension, or even permanent appointment. A generous market salary. The role is office based in the company`s high quality head office.
