Financial Accounting Manager

£70,000 + package
Our client, a prominent organisation in the South West, is currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Financial Accounting Manager to join their continuously expanding team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Financial Accounting Manager, you will oversee the financial control functions for the Group and its subsidiaries, ensure timely and high-quality internal and external reporting, manage technical accounting issues, support audits, assist with board papers, and drive the delivery of the Group Accounting Manual.
The responsibilities:
- Produce monthly actuals reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Oversee statutory accounts preparation for the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Assist in preparing consolidated statutory accounts for half-year and full-year periods.
- Support the senior management with board papers on financial reporting and technical accounting issues.
- Review VAT and Corporation Tax working papers for compliance.
- Ensure consistency in reporting, practices, and policies across the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Serve as the main contact with external auditors for audit planning and issues.
- Manage the balance sheet reconciliation process for the Group and its subsidiaries.
The candidate:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with extensive experience in preparing financial information at Group and company levels.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting, consolidation, and restructuring.
- Proven analytical and financial modelling skills, with a logical approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Excellent communicator and people manager, able to build strong relationships, work effectively under pressure, and drive team success.
