Teaching Assistant - Cheshire East
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced or aspiring teaching assistant for a popular Secondary School in Cheshire East. This position is to start in January and is likely to continue for the whole of the academic year.
This position is equally ideal for an experienced teaching assistant or a recent graduate who is looking to take on a new challenge in 2024 or is looking to gain more experience in a classroom environment before embarking on a PGCE. You will be working with individuals or small groups of students to provide intervention support and help within the classroom. As a teaching assistant you will help the teacher maintain a calm and consistent learning environment, whilst enabling SEND pupils to make rapid progress.
The school is a welcoming school, where pupils settle quickly, where standards of behaviour are improving rapidly and there are wide opportunities for students to engage in the local community and in the life of the life.
Contract/position details:
- Location - Cheshire East
- Position - Teaching Assistant
- Start date - January 2024
- Contract type - temporary/ full time
- Minimum rate of pay - £85 per day
Experience, Training and qualifications:
- Secondary School experience or evidence of working with children
- GCSE English and Maths grade 'C' or '4' & above
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)
- Up to date Prevent training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)
- Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however training can be provided)
To be eligible you must have/be:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide a minimum of two references covering the last 2 years.
