Transport Compliance Supervisor

We are delighted to be working with a well-established Food Distribution business based in Grantham in finding their new Transport Compliance Supervisor

The Role - Transport Compliance Supervisor

In this position you will be overseeing all compliance across the Transport operation. You will be up to date on all industry regulations and company policies, whilst ensuring all parties have the correct qualifications, documentation and training.

The new Transport Compliance Supervisor will also have the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring drivers are complying with their daily pre/post vehicle checks - VOR.
  • Checks on manufacturers service to ensure legal compliance.
  • Ensuring the maintenance plan is kept up to date.
  • Planning inspection and MOT dates.
  • Responsible for arranging all general servicing for the fleet including regulatory brake tests.
  • Taking control of our In-House Resource plan
  • Responsible for checking renewal dates on Driver Cards and DQC.
  • Recording any missing days
  • Investigating any missing mileage.
  • Checking all Driver and Unit Downloads are up to date.
  • Keeping the Infringement spreadsheet up to date.
  • Working Time Directive
  • Driver Licence checks including DQCPC.
  • Planning Driver's Holidays & weekend & bank holiday working via the driver rota and Resource Plan.
  • Control of PPE stock and ordering of uniform.
  • Incentive Bonus calculation
  • Parking set up (SNAP)

The Working Hours

Monday - Friday

8:30 - 5pm

The Right Candidate

As well as a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Transport Compliance role the successful candidate must also demonstrate the following on their CV:

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Transport Managers CPC is advantageous but not essential
  • The Ability to problem solve and suggest effective resolutions.
  • Knowledge of compliance legislation is required even though ongoing training will be provided.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Self-motivated, possessing a good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a time pressured environment.
  • Experience with DVSA, VOSA, Operators Licence Awareness is advantageous.
  • Have a great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Daily commutable to Grantham
