Our client is a leading food manufacturing company, the site is part of a larger national organisation. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for a Welder Fabricator to join their site services & utilities team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Maintain all company equipment and loose assets - fabrication & repairs of racks, moulds etc.
- Work closely & support the site services / utilities team with any additional tasks
- Welding - MiG, TiG, Stick
- Mainly welding stainless steel and sometimes mild steel
- Mechanical fabrication & general fitting work and repairs
- Installation & fitting of pipework
- Workshop tasks when needed - milling, turning, use of lathes
- Supporting other team members with training on various welding techniques and tasks
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must be an experience welder and fabricator
- Ideally have worked in the food manufacturing industry
- Welding - must be able to do MiG, TiG & Stick
- Able to use Oxy Acetylene equipment
- Strong, proactive & effective communication skills
- If previously been a coded welder that would be great
- Must be able to mark up and fabricate own work
- Happy to help in other areas of site services & utilities team - maintenance, breakdowns etc.
- Any previous experience of manual machining - milling, turning, grinding would be beneficial
