Buyer
Full time permanent role - hybrid role - 2 days working from home after 6 months training / probationary period
Mon-Fri 0900-1700 or Mon-Fri 0800-1600
Role based in Edenbridge with plenty of free parking on site for all staff
Salary £36000-£38000 per annum, depending on experience plus very good all round company benefits. 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays, good pension scheme and access to perkbox

The role - Buyer.
The Buyer will be responsible for establishing, developing, and negotiating supplier agreements for a variety of goods and projects. The Buyer will sit within the purchasing team and will report to the purchasing manager.
Duties will include:
Run the daily MRP to get the purchasing requirements.
Place daily purchase orders to cover the MRP requirements.
Expedite overdue purchase orders
Pro-actively confirm purchase orders for the next week will be delivered as per the agreed schedule
Source suppliers for factored/manufactured items
Create purchasing tenders and analyse the data.
Write supply agreements and contracts
Compile purchasing specifications
Visit suppliers
Look for opportunities to reduce costs whenever possible.
Experience, competencies and knowledge required:
Graduate calibre or purchasing professional, preferably with an engineering background.
A current clean full driving license. Essential due to office location and for travelling on business
Understanding of MRP philosophies.
Good IT Skills
