I'm currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join a fast-paced property team based in their Witney office. This is a great role for those looking to kick start their legal career within a well-established Solicitors and enhance their experience in the legal sector. This role will provide valuable support to our residential conveyancing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with new client enquiries
- Providing sales and purchasing quotes
- Opening new client files, including set up on our case management system and issuing client documentation/questionnaires
- Supporting the team with administrative tasks associated with the new transaction process e.g. obtaining title information, issuing sales contract documentation, and verifying clients' ID
- Liaising with existing and prospective clients, answering, and resolving their queries where relevant
- Dealing with third parties such as estate agents and solicitors, as part of the new transactions process
- Submitting property searches
- Preparing Transfer deeds
- Updating the lender portal and downloading/reviewing client mortgage offers
- Submitting Certificates of Title to the mortgage lenders
- Interacting with solicitors and support staff within the firm, providing clarification on any queries or issues
- Liaising with the Land Registry and submitting registration applications Skills and Attributes
- Friendly and helpful team player
- Well organised with ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work accurately with a good attention to detail
- Able to use Microsoft Office packages • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Resilient and calm under pressure
- Excellent keyboard and word processing skills
- Possess high levels of speed and accuracy
- Have a good telephone manner and be comfortable speaking with clients on the telephone
