Warehouse Operative
to join a well-established and successful organisation in Knaresborough, who are experiencing continual growth within their niche industry. You'll be given a full 12 month training programme to ensure that you can perform a full range of logistical tasks in order to maintain the smooth operation of the warehouse.
Your duties as Warehouse Operative will be:
- Operate powered industrial pallet trucks to load and unload materials.
- Pick and pack goods daily ready for dispatch, moving items to and from storage areas.
- Specialist handling of delicate objects.
- Perform daily equipment checks and pre-use checks for Health & Safety compliance.
- Complete all procedural requirements and administration.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the warehouse at all times.
- Follow all internal practices.
- Work in a safe manner, being Health & Safety conscious.
- Maintain positive working practices with all members of staff.
- Assist in other areas of the business as and when needed.
Skills / qualities required:
- Previous experience working within a warehouse.
- Ability to lift and move crates up to 20kg and carry out physical work for long periods of time.
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- A positive, can-do approach.
In return the successful Warehouse Operative will receive a salary of
£23,000 - £24,000
