We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a fantastic education provider as an Outreach professional for a thriving Learning Support and Foundation department. This role is pivotal in supporting learners with disabilities and learning difficulties during their work experience placements. The ideal candidate will be a key communicator and facilitator between the students, placement providers, and the Learning Support team.

Outreach Learning Support Assistant

  • Annual Salary: £19,412 to £20,559 (Actual salary for 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)
  • Location: West London
  • Job Type: 36 hours per week, Term Time

Day to day of the role of an Outreach LSA:

  • Accompany and support learners on their work experience placements.
  • Assist learners in planning their journey and managing time-keeping.
  • Help settle students into their placements and ensure they understand the employer's expectations.
  • Act as a liaison, providing feedback, raising concerns, and sharing relevant observations with the Learning Support team.
  • Provide class-based learning support when not attending placements with students.
  • Motivate and support young people to achieve their best during their work experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications to be an Outreach Learning Support Worker:

  • Good communication skills and experience working with young people with learning difficulties/disabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A motivational approach and the ability to support and encourage young people.
  • Personal transport is desirable due to the need to travel to employers' premises.
