We are seeking a proactive and dedicated School Administrator to join our vibrant school community. As an active member of the administration team, you will carry out a range of administrative and reception duties to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school. This role is pivotal in maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment for all visitors and members of the school community.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide general administrative support including typing, photocopying, filing, scanning, and handling routine correspondence.
  • Maintain the school's office email inbox, dealing with queries and forwarding messages as appropriate.
  • Keep the school website and parent calendar up to date with all necessary information.
  • Manage room bookings and handle post and deliveries.
  • Liaise with supply agencies, book supply staff, and maintain the Single Central Record.
  • Create and distribute messages to parents/carers and produce a fortnightly newsletter.
  • Welcome visitors, manage phone calls, and maintain the reception area.
  • Administer first aid and manage medical requirements for pupils, including maintaining medical records.
  • Support the school's welfare and safeguarding policies, ensuring all concerns are recorded and escalated appropriately.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of IT packages (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, email, and internet).
  • Experience with Bromcom or similar school management software is highly advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work confidently and efficiently in a busy school environment.
  • Understanding of and commitment to compliance with school policies, particularly those relating to child protection, health, safety, and data protection.
