Our client, a leading main contractor based in Birmingham, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join their dynamic team. With a diverse portfolio of construction projects valued up to £30 million, including residential, education, leisure, and care homes, this is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career with a reputable company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate all contractual aspects of the projects, including procurement, subcontractor management, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Lead project teams, providing clear direction and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to facilitate effective project execution.
- Monitor project performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
- Demonstrable track record of managing projects across residential, education, leisure, and/or care homes sectors.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and subcontractor management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
