Our client, a leading main contractor based in Birmingham, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join their dynamic team. With a diverse portfolio of construction projects valued up to £30 million, including residential, education, leisure, and care homes, this is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career with a reputable company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate all contractual aspects of the projects, including procurement, subcontractor management, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Lead project teams, providing clear direction and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to facilitate effective project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
  • Demonstrable track record of managing projects across residential, education, leisure, and/or care homes sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and subcontractor management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
