Our client, a friendly and well established SME based in Watford, is seeking an accomplished Financial Controller to join their succesful and fast-expanding business.
Reporting to an ambitious and charasmatic MD and Board of Directors, your responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside the board of Directors to provide financial analysis and insight with a view to driving profit and saving costs
- Managing and developing a finance team of 7 staff
- Preparing and presenting a full set of management accounts (including balance sheet reconciliations and P&L)
- Preparing annual budgets and forecasts
- Producing/overseeing year end accounts (including liaising with the auditors)
- Overseeing relevant VAT and Tax matters
- Management of the Credit Control and Purchase ledger function
- Where applicable, enhancing and improving existing processes
- Ad hocfinanical tasks as and when required
The successful candidate can be Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant or a QBE. You will also possess a track record running a finance department with multi-person responsibility. Excellent communication skills, a commercial edge and being comfortable liaising at board level are a must.
