The Opportunity

My client is a leading consumer brand that has been in business for over 100 years. With over 580 people within the business, they are going through an exciting digital transformation. They are looking for a Senior BA to join the business and help them on this fantastic journey, where you will work with multiple stakeholders across the business and be the lynchpin between the IT team and the projects they are looking to implement.

Although this is a hybrid role, you will be required to come into the office 3 days a week.

Key Accountabilities

  • Although the role sits within the IT department, the successful candidate will be the lynchpin between the IT projects and the internal stakeholders within the business.
  • While there is a huge appetite for change within the business, the organisation is at a very early stage with most of the projects.
  • There is a limited ability within the business to understand what the important steps are to get a successful outcome. With some projects that haven't gone to plan, this role is key to having successful outcomes.
  • Projects are at an early stage, so are being defined, and this candidate will play a key part in that.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for various projects and initiatives through workshops and one-to-one sessions.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Documentation: Create detailed business and functional requirements documents, process flows, and use cases.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure alignment and understanding of project objectives and requirements.
  • Workshops and One-to-One Sessions: Organise and lead workshops and one-to-one sessions to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure stakeholder engagement and understanding.
  • Project Management: Assist in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Reporting: Develop and deliver reports and presentations to stakeholders on project status, business performance, and other key metrics.

Person Spec

  • The candidate needs to be excited about working for a heritage business, that is open to change, but is not going to change overnight.
  • Someone who has experience of dealing with various departments in a medium to large business, including finance, HR, commercial & warehouse.
  • Experience of bringing people together on a change journey, within a digital transformation environment.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects is key to the role.
  • Doesn't need to a techy BA but does need to have an understanding of technology jargon.
  • We are looking for someone who is autonomous in their role and a self-starter who can get the job done.
