The Role
As the Distribution Manager, you will lead the operations of our client's distribution centre with a hands-on approach. Your mission is to ensure the seamless receipt, storage, and dispatch of high-value products, consistently meeting the exacting standards of the super-premium eCommerce sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a warehouse team ranging from 6 to 70 people, ensuring operational efficiency across multiple distribution channels.
- Operational Excellence: Guarantee on-time delivery of products in perfect condition, delivering a 'WOW' factor to retail customers.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of all materials, optimising warehouse space to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Performance Metrics: Achieve and maintain high levels of customer service by meeting KPIs such as on-time delivery, stock accuracy, and distribution cost efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance distribution processes, driving cost reduction and service improvement.
Requirements:
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing and developing a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and ICT skills, with proficiency in NAV and Linnworks being advantageous.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong relationships across the business.
