The Company

Our client operates a state-of-the-art distribution centre, managing up to 1,000 pallets across multiple channels, including eCommerce sales of super-premium products, and shipping to twenty countries via deep sea, container, and groupage methods. The Role

As the Distribution Manager, you will lead the operations of our client's distribution centre with a hands-on approach. Your mission is to ensure the seamless receipt, storage, and dispatch of high-value products, consistently meeting the exacting standards of the super-premium eCommerce sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a warehouse team ranging from 6 to 70 people, ensuring operational efficiency across multiple distribution channels.
  • Operational Excellence: Guarantee on-time delivery of products in perfect condition, delivering a 'WOW' factor to retail customers.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of all materials, optimising warehouse space to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Performance Metrics: Achieve and maintain high levels of customer service by meeting KPIs such as on-time delivery, stock accuracy, and distribution cost efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance distribution processes, driving cost reduction and service improvement.

Requirements:

  • Leadership: Proven experience in managing and developing a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and ICT skills, with proficiency in NAV and Linnworks being advantageous.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong relationships across the business.
  • Organisational Skills: A methodical and organized approach, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
