A leading law firm specialising in private client services is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join their Wills and Probate team in North West London. This firm has a reputation for delivering expert legal advice across various sectors and provides a supportive and dynamic working environment for their staff.

The Private Client Lawyer's Role

As a Private Client Lawyer in the Private Client team, you will be responsible for handling a broad range of private client matters, including Wills, Probate, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection cases. The Private Client Lawyer will handle complex estate administrations, from obtaining Grants of Probate to final distributions, and will also advise on tax matters such as Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax. Your role will involve drafting Wills, advising on tax mitigation, and dealing with Lasting Powers of Attorney. You will also handle Court of Protection applications and business development within the team.

The Private Client Lawyer

  • At least 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in private client law.
  • SFE and STEP membership preferred but not essential.
  • Expertise in Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Tax matters, including Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax.
  • Experience in Court of Protection and handling matters for elderly clients, including social care and CHC funding.
  • Strong business development skills and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

In Return?

  • £60,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience).
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:15 working hours.
