Client Details

My client, based in Poole, are a leading retail brand operating for over 40 years in their sector. They are seeking a credit controller with a skill for developing relationships.

Description

Credit Controller:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to accounts.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the sales divisions under your management to address critical issues and collaboratively determine solutions.
  • Offer support within the finance team as required.
  • Manage reconciliation, customer portals, and integration (EDI).
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing accounts, suggesting appropriate terms and credit limits based on historical data, credit agencies, trade references, and other pertinent information.
  • Efficiently review, manage, and collect customer accounts, prioritizing to optimize cash flow while minimizing the risk of bad debts.
  • Swiftly and effectively resolve invoice and payment queries.
  • Generate and distribute customer statements of account.
  • Produce and send out customer overdue/reminder letters.
  • Proactively manage new accounts and high-value invoices.
  • Cultivate effective relationships and rapport with both customers and internal contacts.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strictly adhere to established processes and procedures.
  • Escalate significant issues or concerns to the management team.
