Description

  • Overseeing the implementation of safety protocols and standards within the workshop environment.
  • Conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Maintaining, testing, and repairing safety equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Providing training on safety procedures and the use of safety equipment.
  • Collaborating with the Engineering & Manufacturing department to improve safety systems.
  • Responding to safety incidents, conducting investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintaining records of safety inspections, incidents, and actions taken.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

Profile

A successful Workshop Technician should have:

  • Relevant educational qualifications in safety management or a related field.
  • Background in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively deliver safety training.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with various departments.
