The Company
Our client, a successful and ambitious retail business (circa £80m T/O), is seeking a new Group Financial Controller to lead their finance function. Modern offices, flexible working, positive culture, and a genuine opportunity to make a difference are all on offer.
Job Specification
Reporting to an experienced and charismatic CFO, you duties will include:
- Overseeing the preparation of accurate monthly group accounts (balancesheetrecs, P&L, Accruals/Prepayments)
- Presenting the monthly accounts to the board of Directors with Variance Analysis and commentary
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts including liaising with the auditors
- Annual Budgeting and Forecasting
- Business partnering with key stakeholders
- Process and system improvement where applicable
- Commercial analysis including ongoing cost base/overheads review and pricing
- Managing and developing a team of 8 people (with scope to grow)
- Overseeing VAT, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and PayrollThe successful candidate will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified. You will have a proven track record in a similar role (within businesses of a similar size) and thrive in a commercial, progressive environment. Good excel skills will also be advantageous as would strong analytic thinking.
