Business Development Executive

We are looking for a proactive and driven Business Development Executive to join an extremely successful distribution business in Chorley. The successful candidate will be responsible for account development and maintenance with the aim of maximising revenue in alignment with the Company's strategic goals, both long-term and short-term.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maintain and develop a profitable customer portfolio through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods.
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers' business requirements and respond to sales enquiries with appropriate methods.
  • Procure products in accordance with customer requirements and Company guidelines.
  • Liaise internally to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve issues with customers and suppliers, including financial issues, in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Attend and present at customer meetings, representing the Company professionally.
  • Identify and report on market and customer trends and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Promote the Company to prospective customers and observe competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with global business units to maximise overall Company sales opportunities.
  • Ensure all sales administration is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update the customer database, conduct account planning strategies, and attend industry functions as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adept at conducting market research and competitive analysis.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £25,000 per annum with uncapped bonus. Realistic potential to earn £500-£1500 per month for new starters with top performers earning £3,000 - £4,000 per month in bonus alone
  • Monday to Thursday 9am-5:30pm and Friday 9am-5pm (with some flexibility for the right candidate)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
