What is a Warehouse Team Leader?

You would be responsible for ensuring the operation of the warehouse is carried out according to procedures and in line with the Company policies as directed by the Supply Chain Manager. You will provide support for all internal customers under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor to aid the smooth running of the Supply Chain Function.

What to expect?

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Updating and printing the production/packing/co-man plan.
  • Completion of the work set by supervisor/ Warehouse manager in an efficient manner.
  • Delivery of jobs agreed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain quality standards and practices to ensure a high quality of finished product.
  • Aid supervisor in organizing and ensuring operators are performing as required.
  • Control day to day warehouse activities and all staff, contractors Etc. for this area.
  • Working safely and enforcing company safety rules.
  • Report damages or queries to the supervisor or manager.
  • Responsible for correct use of PPE in warehouse area.
  • Responsible for ensuring GMP standards are maintained in the Warehouse area.
  • To ensure H&S is maintained and to report to Supervisor/ Warehouse Manager.
  • Responsible for liaising with planning department to ensuring picking sheets are in the warehouse in a timely manor.
  • Set up and preparation of equipment where necessary.
  • Responsible for making sure cleaning equipment in area is cleaned.
  • Involvement/support with projects when required.
  • Liaise with planning department if any changes need to be made to plan or batch changes.
  • Liaise with quality department if any issues arise.
  • Responsible for training of your team.
  • Ensuring weekends are covered with staff.
  • Ensuring co--man team have enough stock for the weekends.
  • Ensuring co-man have correct stock for the weekends.
  • Ensuring the warehouse is shut for 2 hours on a daily basis to ensure tasks are done and to catch up.
  • Providing daily handovers to other Warehouse shifts & emailing relevant departments.
  • Handling booking in of delivery's to site via goods receiving email and booking this on the booking in calendar.
  • Staff absences reported to supervisor or HR at start of shift.
  • Record keeping of agency working hours, inductions.
  • Attend team meetings when required.
  • All booking in of delivery's to site on ASC reporting what has arrived to purchasing on delivery tracker.
  • Send intake sheet to external warehouse's & move stock on ASC.
  • Dealing with external companies for disposals.

Does this sound you like?

  • Minimum 2 years team leader experience.
  • FLT licenses - both reach and counterbalance.
  • Minimum 2 years Warehouse experience.
  • Knowledgeable in H&S and GMP.
  • Good excel skills and system experience.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
