Summary
Hardwick Hall is one of the National Trust's discovery houses in Derbyshire. Built by the infamous Bess of Hardwick, in the 1500s, it is a leading example of an Elizabethan house. The estate currently attracts more than 500,000 visitors and the Stables shop within the stable yard area is going from strength to strength.
With your love of working with people and enthusiasm to provide a great service, you'll welcome and talk to our visitors to the shop answering any questions they have.
Salary: 11.50 per hour
Contract/duration: permanent
Hours/working pattern 12.50 per week

What it's like to work here
You would be part of a small team of 8 staff plus our team of volunteers who help with our retail and plant offer. Everyday here is different, giving you a varied and wide range of tasks to complete to give visitors a warm welcome and provide an inviting environment.
Reporting to the Retail manager, you will be fully supported, helping you integrate into the team and learn about the wonderful products we sell and the stories behind them.

What you'll be doing As Retail Team Member you'll offer customers help and shopping advice with their purchases. Other duties may include receiving, unpacking, and arranging deliveries, creating shop displays and working with other members of the team to keep the shop floor area clean and organised. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service and an interest in learning about retail.
