Real Estate Transaction Manager

Unique opportunity for an experienced real estate professional to join the Investment team of an acquisitive social impact fund with top PE backing. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving acquisition processes through to completion, as well as supporting the Investment team and Fund Manager with each new series of fund structures.

Client Details

Our client is a market-leading residential specialist with an existing and growing portfolio of UK assets (series 1 targeting £200m). With a significant immediate pipeline of development, redevelopment and stand-alone assets up and down the country, they are looking to add a Transaction Manager to their Investment team as they expand and start to target the second fund in the series.

Description

  • Leading on real estate acquisitions, disposals, and development opportunities.
  • Involvement in all aspects of deals, including deal structuring, due diligence, negotiating third party contracts, and post deal on-boarding.
  • Involvement in launching and structuring new funds and exiting funds in future.
  • Involvement in debt raise processes.
  • Support in screening and analysing new investment opportunities including title and planning reviews.
  • Manage external counsel / lawyers.
  • Assist with preparation of Board and Investment Committee Papers as well as analysis to support key decisions.
  • Support the Fund Director in Investor Reporting, investor enquiries and keeping the fund's marketing materials and data room up to date.
  • Support the process of quarterly reporting and investment performance monitoring.
  • Portfolio / Estate Management responsibilities, inspecting and assessing existing assets in the fund/s and creating short format reports on condition and conveying / escalating information to all internal stakeholders.

Profile

The successful Real Estate Transaction Manager should have:

  • A strong educational background in Real Estate (BSc, MSc or similar)
  • Real Estate Valuation and/or Investment surveying by background - our client is also open to Real Estate conveyancing by background if numerically astute.
  • Ideally MRICS.
  • Experience in deal execution with a track-record of managing multiple transactions at once, and overall portfolio project management.
  • Good knowledge of UK Property law, reading and understanding Title documents.
  • Self-motivated, enjoyment of a fast-paced, active environment handling significant deal flow.
  • Financially numerate with good working knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Good organisational skills and ability to run a variety of tasks at once.
  • Good time management skills and rigorous eye for detail
  • Ability to write and communicate in a structured manner whilst maintaining and expanding relationships with multiple key stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel anywhere in the UK for inspections when needed.
  • Driven and ambitious individual with a track record which supports this.
  • Good sense of humour, humble, hands-on work style, helpful team player with a can-do attitude.
