An exciting opportunity awaits as the Accounts Assistant at an award-winning specialist tour operator based in Dorking. This role involves managing purchase ledger responsibilities and supporting colleagues to ensure excellent customer service both internally and externally.

Accounts Assistant - What will I be doing?

  • Processing and approving invoices, maintaining purchase ledgers for specific destinations and GBP cost of sales.
  • Querying invoices with suppliers/managers, obtaining necessary authorizations.
  • Monitoring, categorising, and redirecting emails in the Accounts inbox.
  • Ad hoc posting of payments and allocations.
  • Purchase ledger statement reconciliations.
  • Ad hoc reporting.
  • Providing support and cover to the finance team during absences, peak times, or as business needs dictate.
  • Creating and maintaining training files with concise and up-to-date notes.

Accounts Assistant - What experience do I need?

  • Ability to maintain clear and accurate financial records.
  • Strong numeracy skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with Office 365.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong customer service focus and skills.
  • Bonus: Experience using Sage.

Accounts Assistant - What else do I need to know?

You will be working in their fabulous offices in Dorking 2 days a week and 3 days working from home.
