Salary: £50k - £55k

Location: Remote/City of London

1/2 Days a month in the office

My client is an exciting workplace solutions business that help in the smooth operations of businesses back offices across the UK. They are looking for a Billing manager to join their finance team to manager 4 billing analysts and to work closely with the finance manager to ensure billing is correct at month end.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 4 direct reports, responsible for generating approximately 1,500 invoices monthly
  • Issue intercompany invoices for payments
  • Onboard new clients following established internal procedures
  • Oversee the end-to-end RPI price increase process
  • Fully manage the development revenue recognition process
  • Handle stock cost cross-charging and revenue release based on usage
  • Process month-end revenue accruals, manage deferred revenue, and correct revenue coding errors
  • Minimize revenue accruals by promoting in-month billing in collaboration with operations
  • Collaborate with credit control to support cash flow management through prompt customer payments
  • Prepare critical Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Lead efforts in billing automation and standardization
  • Lead process improvement projects and implement new systems
  • Identify opportunities to motivate, train, and develop team members

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience of being a Billing Manager
  • Strong understanding of billing function - ideally who has been a billing clerk previously
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external stakholders
  • Strong technical proficiency in the use of of Excel
  • Familiarity with macros and queries in Excel
  • Experience using SAP, ideally using SD
  • Desirable - experience within a facilities management company
