Department: Senior Fee Earner (Hybrid working)

Salary: £35,000 - |£55,000 dependant on experience

Specialisations: General Law, Conveyancing, Probate, and Family Law.

This role requires a meticulous and proactive individual with extensive experience in probate, wills and trusts. The successful candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent client management skills, and a thorough understanding of legal compliance in probate.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Will Writing - Draft and prepare wills according to client and legal requirements.
  • Probate Administration - Manage the administration of probate, ensuring efficient and compliant processing.
  • Inheritance Tax Advice - Provide expert advice on inheritance tax planning and mitigation.
  • Capital Gains Tax Advice - Advise clients on strategies to manage and reduce capital gains tax liabilities.
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney - Prepare and register Lasting Powers of Attorney documents.
  • Enduring Powers of Attorney - Manage and advise on existing Enduring Powers of Attorney.
  • Living Wills - Draft and advise on living wills to ensure clients' wishes are documented.
  • Trusts - Create and manage trusts, providing advice on the establishment and administration of trust structures.
  • File Management - Control and manage client files efficiently and securely.
  • Marketing Strategy Input - Contribute to the development of the firm and departmental marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • CILEX or Qualified Solicitor, with experience in probate.
