Position: Academic Tutor

Your Role:

Responsibilities:

To contribute to the overall achievement of students by providing support and tutoring for students with a range of needs. This will include delivering 1-1 and small group tutoring and intervention programmes alongside supporting the day to day running of our Pastoral Teams and Inclusion Provision.

  • Conducting one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to address students' specific learning needs.
  • Assisting students in understanding and grasping subject materials effectively.
  • Implementing strategies to enhance students' study skills and organizational abilities.
  • Collaborating with subject teachers to identify areas requiring additional support.
  • Monitoring and evaluating students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Motivating and inspiring students to achieve their academic goals.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in working with young people is advantageous, but we welcome enthusiastic individuals willing to learn and make a difference.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for this role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the school community.
