Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of students in the classroom. Your responsibilities may include assisting with lesson preparation, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and making a difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities.
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help with their learning.
- Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive behaviour and interaction.
- Help to create and maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to assess student progress and implement appropriate interventions.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required, under the guidance of the SENCO.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, either in a school setting or another childcare environment, is desired.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children and supporting their learning and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic school environment.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning) would be advantageous but not essential.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
