?? Position: Catering Assistant

?? Salary: Competitive

? Working hours: 10am -1pm, Monday to Friday

In this role, you will support the Cook Supervisor in daily kitchen operations, ensuring students, staff, and visitors enjoy a delightful dining experience that meets the highest standards of taste and value. From food preparation to maintaining cleanliness, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for all.

�? Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food and beverage preparation and service, following the organisation's standards.
  • Set up the dining area for service, ensuring a clean and inviting space.
  • Transport food and beverages safely while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitise dishes, utensils, tables, and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to kitchen work practises.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Be flexible and work at various stations within the kitchen unit.
  • Open and lock up catering areas as needed.

?? Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade A-C or equivalent.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation & Cooking or equivalent.
  • Experience in food preparation in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and Food Hygiene regulations.
