Reed Education are representing a beautiful SEN School and are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 LSA to join our Specialist Centre for Deaf Children. This role is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children, providing support and care on a 1:1 basis, assisting with daily activities, and promoting development and wellbeing.

Day to day of the role:

  • Provide 1:1 support and care to a child.
  • Assist the child with daily activities and routines, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Promote the child's development and wellbeing through compassionate interaction and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the educational team to implement individual care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and any incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals regarding the child's needs and progress.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A caring and compassionate attitude towards children.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Well-organised, efficient, and able to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Flexibility and a pro-active approach to work.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

This is a fixed-term role until August 2025, working 30.40 hours per week during term time (38 weeks per year).
