This growing team are in the hunt for an experienced Logistics Co-ordinator / Logistics Manager to take on the management and development of their logistic department.

This brand new role has been created because of continued and sustained growth - there are 3 pivotal hires happening at the minute, and this is one. Coming into this newly created role you'll be able to utilise all the experience and knowledge you have developed to make a real impact. You will be the first person within this new team so, moving forward, the opportunity to create and develop a team could be on the cards.

The need to know

  • Location: Cambridge Science Park (on-site working)
  • Social Events
  • ½ day one Friday per month (across the whole company)
  • Job Type: Permanent - Full Time (open to part time availability)
  • Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
  • 25 days annual leave (increases up to 30 days with length of service)

The day to day
As the logistics specialist you will be responsible for reviewing and managing all shipping activities, determining the most appropriate shipment method through detailed knowledge of the product, customs process and recipients requirements.

Activities you will be responsible for include but not limited to:

  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure all internal specifications and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Post-shipment dispatch work, including updating and maintaining shipment records plus communicating results and issues.
  • Accurately following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensuring completion of duties with minimal errors to support department metrics.
  • Contributing to operational excellence and assisting in the further development process flows.
  • Receiving shipments and materials into the building.

About you

The successful candidate will have a strong background in global logistics. A self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. As this is a growing, developing role the team are looking for an open minded and adaptable individual with a keen eye for detail.
