Cloud Infrastructure Analyst - Azure

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst for our client, NHG, Notting Hill Genesis, a well-established and customer focussed housing association. NHG have recently completed a major, digital change programme moving services to the cloud, using the latest Microsoft Azure technologies, to make a positive impact on the lives of its residents and achieve greater business efficiency. Infrastructure & Operations are fundamental in the day to day running of IT and the wider business.

As part of Infrastructure & Operations, we seek a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst to join our expanding team. You'll provide the technical support needed to maintain Cloud and Infrastructure services ensuring security, availability and reliability. Is this you? Key tasks include;

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Monitoring infrastructure services, delivering & implementing technical solutions in line with processes & procedures, using tools & techniques for monitoring performance of automated systems & services. Hardware & software upgrades.
  • IT Security: acting on vulnerability information, facilitating security risk assessments, business impact analysis & accreditation for complex infrastructure systems. Maintain appropriate administrative access to the infrastructure.
  • Day to day Problem & Incident management, determining problem fixes, implementing remedies & preventative measures. Ensure incidents are handled within procedures. Provide effective feedback, throughout the performance management cycle, for optimum performance.
  • Assist with IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and testing, ensuring infrastructure services meet agreed SLAs.
  • Change Management. Ensure all infrastructure changes are implemented through the change management process. All changes to Azure services are managed effectively through Infrastructure as a Code, Terraform.

All aspects of the role will require you to provide a high quality, customer focussed, responsive service, in line with NHG's cultural and corporate strategies.

Technical knowledge required encompasses DevOps principles, Azure Backup & Site Recovery, Monitor, Bastion, Active Directory, Sentinel, Policy, as well as PowerShell scripts, Terraform & YAML, Dynamics, Power Platform, MS Office 365. Network protocols inc configuration of network routers & switches, LAN/WAN, wireless access points (Cisco Meraki), Systems Security Principles, Windows 2019/2022 Servers, Intune, Web Application Management, Firewall Management & Security, Windows workstation operating systems, mobile phones, tablets & other user computing devices & printers. Unified communication & VoIP Technology & some knowledge of Telephony solutions.

You'll have relevant IT experience including ITIL, CCNA, possibly CMSS, Microsoft & Azure certifications or a degree, preferably in Computer Science, and have migrated from on prem to public Cloud

  • with a solid infrastructure & networking background, able to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in an enterprise & complex customer facing organisation,
  • experience of working as a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst on Azure platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) using Infrastructure as a Code, Terraform,
  • network administration, switches & firewalls, TCP IP, DNS within Azure, (Cisco Meraki)
  • Azure DevOps pipelines to manage the infrastructure,
  • comfortable developing and managing relationships across IT and in the business.

Softer skills will include an enthusiastic, collaborative, positive "can do" approach with a strong commitment to customer service, clear, concise written and communication skills, able to write clear documentation. You'll have good organisational and time management skills, be able to work methodically, adapting to change where required.

In return, the role offers a salary of c£53,000pa plus benefits including generous annual leave, Health Cash Plan, Season Ticket loan, Life Assurance, a generous contributory pension offer & other benefits.

The office base is Kings Cross, London. Working on a hybrid basis, you'll need to be in the office 2/3 days a week for collaboration and meetings. On occasions, you'll need to travel to other sites, accessible via public transport.
