GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with an industry-leading organisation that specialise in the provision of world-class bespoke monitoring and critical alarm systems and services. Our client is vastly proud of their on-site installation and technical support team and due to a phenomenal year, are looking to add to this by recruiting an experienced Applications Specialist to join their Malvern site.

This is a full time, permanent position that can offer a salary up to £50,000 pending relevant experience, plus excellent company benefits and great career progression opportunities. This position is a mix of home-based and on the road, where you will be required to be visiting customers and sites.

We are looking for a candidate to promote, demonstrate and sell their TSI range of particle counters for aseptic manufacturing and monitoring system software. To develop and maintain customer relationships.

To be considered for this position we are looking for candidates to demonstrate previous experience in Cleanroom, Pharmaceutical or semiconductor industry AND experience of selling systems which include software and hardware components.

Applications Specialist main duties:

  • To plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer contact to achieve agreed business aims/targets.
  • To implement marketing strategy and contribute towards the continued development of the strategy in line with business and market requirements.
  • To meet with customers to assess their requirements and be familiar with the legislative and quality standard requirements for monitoring systems and equipment, such as ISO 14644-1/2.
  • To demonstrate the clients critical monitoring software and alarm system, the range of AeroTrak handheld and portable airborne particle counter range, and the BioTrak real-time viable particle counter.
  • To liaise with the Integration & Installation engineers on receipt of a system order for an effective hand-over to the team who will deliver the project.
  • To support and maintain contact with customers post-delivery of system and/or equipment to ensure their satisfaction with the product(s) and the services the company offers.
  • To identify and establish new business opportunities.
  • To work with the Commercial Team and Technical Engineers to identify potential new products.
  • Follow-up on external and internal sales leads / opportunities

Applications Specialist desired skills and experience:

  • Cleanroom, Pharmaceutical or semi-conductor industry experience.
  • Experience of selling systems which include software and hardware components.
  • Working knowledge of clean spaces, cleanroom design and cleanroom operation.
  • Participation in industry associations such as ISPE, PDA, PHSS
  • Degree or HND in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Driving licence Territory: UK, ROI & overseas client sites (as required).
  • Formal sales training in complex selling environments (e.g. Miller Heiman Strategic and Conceptual Selling, Challenger or similar)
